Youth Worker Part-time –

Scope of work: The Youth Worker will work to facilitate the After School Program providing homework support, recreational activities, and working toward engaging youth in the community. Activities will range depending on the interest of the youth participating, but should include fun educational activities, cultural activities through support from elders, event planning (Halloween parties/holiday related events, etc.) as well as arts and crafts. As the Youth Worker you will report to the Band Administrator, Chief and Council.
Set up for activities and clean up afterwards;
Shop for supplies and consolidate receipts for reimbursement;
Create and print a calendar for each month;
Plan activities and field trips for the kids;
Create and send out notices of events related to Youth;
Create a monthly report outlining your achievements and activities each month
Be outgoing, creative, and self-driven
Experience with children
Facilitate After School Program by planning various activities and releasing schedules to community
Reporting program progress to Band Administrator, Chief and Council
Preparing meals as necessary
Documentation and reporting on various activities along with narrative reports to funding agencies
Proposal writing and funding seeking as needed
Assistance with homework to students
Supplies shopping
Inventory control: Making sure program has all necessary supplies, and ordering/shopping for supplies as needed
